I haven’t been on here in a while and I don’t even know if most of the people that follow me still use this but I figured I’d update everyone on how my roommate turned out. She was okay, at least tolerable. She told me that she was valedictorian of her class and majoring in pre-med, so I was expecting her to be smart. She failed to mention that she achieved that status with only a 3.1 GPA (not that there’s anything wrong with a 3.1, but you’d expect more from the top person in the graduating class). She failed one class first semester (chemistry, which is pretty important for people who want to be DOCTORS) and dropped all but 2 classes second semester because they were “too hard” (which included chemistry that she was taking for a second time). What were the 2 classes she stayed enrolled in, you ask? Floral design and English. Oh, and she hired some random foreign dude from twitter to do her english homework for her. So basically, all she had to do was make bouquets. She laid in bed all day and watched Netflix and had her mom order her pizzas, which she made me go downstairs to get because she didn’t want to pause her shows. Then she would go out around 11pm every night and come home very intoxicated around 3-4am. I understand that we’re in college and partying is a part of the culture, but I feel like EVERY night is a bit excessive. She also burnt one of my makeup palettes with her curling wand and then claimed our room was haunted and the ghost did it, but that’s a whole other story. Anyway, it was fine, I wasn’t miserable. I’m just happy she didn’t really ever try to talk to me unless she needed something because holding a conversation with her is like trying to talk to a dog. She knows you’re saying things, but she’s not quite sure what those things mean and then she gets distracted before she has time to figure it out. Alright, that’s all I’m gonna say for now, have a good night everyone.

If you are in highschool you should know the difference between the following:

  • your vs. you’re
  • there vs. their vs. they’re
  • two vs. too vs. to
  • our vs. are
  • then vs. than
  • defiantly vs. definitely
  • its vs. it’s (and when to use apostrophes in general)

and there are probably a million more examples that I can’t think of at the moment. If you have any questions on when to use any of these words, please don’t hesitate to ask. 😊

I am 100% ready for it to be summer but I am 0% prepared. Since dance is over for me, my body is nowhere near the shape I want it to be in. Nobody is making me do physical activity anymore, so I don’t do it. Not only that, but I have no shorts that fit me anymore. I don’t know how this happened considering I KNOW I haven’t grown and they all fit last summer, but evidently it is the sad truth. And I’m even more broke now after Mother’s Day shopping so I can’t afford to buy any new clothes. Fortunately, my mom bought me new swimsuits before Spring Break, so I do have those. I wouldn’t mind walking around in a swimsuit all the time honestly, but my abs are still in hibernation and I don’t think they’re planning on coming out anytime soon. If someone would like to motivate me to exercise for the next few weeks so I can at least get a start on my flat stomach, feel free to do so. I have no objections to people being rude or harsh because I know I need to do it. I wish I could go to Castlewood like everyone else, but unfortunately I am allergic to the outdoors, literally. I’m allergic to grass, pollen, and most types of trees and I have a severe allergy to pine trees/cones and tree sapp. I know most people are “allergic” to pollen, but my throat swells up to the point where I can barely swallow. Okay this is getting off track so before I start ranting about random shit, I’m gonna end this post. Pls help me exercise.

Roommate Update Part 2

So Tia added me on Snapchat and Twitter over the weekend. Let me tell you, her instagram is SO LOW KEY compared to her other social medias. Apparently she had graduation today (I’m guessing) and decided to share it with all of her snapchat friends. She posted one picture of her wearing all of her medals and honor chords and holding all her certificates and then ANOTHER picture of all of her awards and such just sitting on a table. Then she posted a picture of herself with her baby pink, perfectly manicured nails doing the “rock on” symbol and sticking her tongue out with the caption “IM DONEEEE”. As far as Twitter goes she’s basically like every other girl, tweeting her every thought and emotion about everything. She definitely is the type who likes to boast and share her life but hey, she got honor chords so maybe she’s not stupid.

So, as most of you know I will be attending Mizzou in the fall. A couple days ago, we reciever our schedules with the classes we are required to take. Because of all the drama that happened with Mizzou recently (if you don’t know what I’m talking about, you’re dumb and I’m not going to explain it so just google it), everyone is required to take an ethics class and a social equalities class. It sounds like a good idea, but honestly I don’t think it will do much good. Teaching people how to not be racist is like teaching people how to lose weight. Everyone knows how to do it, some people just choose not to. Taking a class on ethics isn’t going to make racist people stop being racist and people who aren’t racist are wasting their time in these classes. I just don’t see how it’s going to help anyone at all. It seems pointless. But who knows, maybe the classes will turn out to be some mind blowing intervention that changes people’s minds completely about people of different races. I doubt it though.

I got my first job as a lifeguard when I was 15 and had a job consistently all the way up until November of 2015 when I quit my job at Olive Garden. While I had a job I was pretty good about only spending a little bit of money and saving most of my paychecks. Because of that I’ve had a decent amount of money up until now. Now I have a total of $24 in my checking account and I don’t like it. Not only do I actually need money for gas and other things, I also just like to know that I have some incase anything were to happen. So, I need a new job, fast before I’m completely broke. If any of you work somewhere and would be willing to give me a good recommendation, I’d greatly appreciate it. I’ll basically work anywhere at this point because I’m desperate for money, but I would HIGHLY PREFER to NOT work in the food industry. Anyways, if anyone can help me out, PLEASE let me know. Thank you and have a good night.

Ever since I can remember, I’ve always loved storms. I’ve never been afraid of them in the slightest. I’m not just talking about thunderstorms here either. Any type of storm I’ve ever experienced has always put me in an elated mood. I remember one time when I was about 7 or 8 during a tornado warning, my brother got mad at me for not being scared. The whole family was watching the news in the basement and my brother was curled up between my parents, scared to death. I, on the other hand, was practicing my gymnastics skills by doing flips and backbends on our sofa. My brother started yelling at me and told me to stop being so happy that we’re all going to die (he’s obviously not the optimist in the family). I just ignored him and kept doing my tricks. Obviously I know that in severe storms like that it is a possibility that the tornado could hit our house, but it still doesn’t get to me. The sound of rain and rolling thunder soothes my mind and always makes me relax. I think I find comfort in curling up and watching all the chaos going on outside around me while I’m peaceful and calm inside my big, soft, warm blanket.

So Disney was fun, there’s not much to talk about because we didn’t really have time to do anything besides competition stuff. We ended up getting 4th, which is pretty good considering it was out of the entire WORLD. So anyway, if you wanna watch it, here’s the link. Worlds Link

Roommate Update

Okay so Tia (we’ll call her that for the sake of her own privacy) and I exchanged numbers earlier today to “get to know each other better”. What I’ve found out so far is that she 100% lives up to her stereotype. Her favorite color is pink, she’s bad at English, she’s “a big Netflix fan”, she uses way too many exclamation points, and she over uses emojis to the point where I have to copy her texts, paste them into my notes, and delete all the emojis so I can actually read her message. As of right now she doesn’t seem too stuck up or snobby, so that’s good. Let’s just hope it stays that way. This wasn’t very much information, but I wanted to start the trend of keeping you guys posted on her. Okay I have to get back to “getting to know” Tia now, have a good rest of your night people.
